On the road!

We hit the road bright and early on a Friday morning. I left before Beau with the kids in the van, since he had a final appointment to attend to. The first couple of hours were terrible. Eliza and Sariah were crying. Everett got carsick and vomited all over everything. After I got him cleaned up and gave him multiple bags to use (which he certainly did!!), calmed Sariah and Eliza down, we got into a rhythm that worked for us. Our first overnight stop was in Dayton, Ohio. We stayed 2 nights with our awesome friends, the Haines.

 We visited an aviation museum on Wright Patterson AFB, ate lunch at a beautiful park, and then the kids had fun on a tarp on a hill with a hose. A delicious bar-b-que with some cornhole rounded out the visit nicely. We set out Sunday morning for our next destination.....Nauvoo, Illinois.

We passed these windmills along the way to Nauvoo. The kids thought they were amazing.
