While Grandpa Dale was visiting for Abi's baptism, we went to Ft. McHenry. Beau had yet to see it, so off we went! The weather was warm, but not too bad. Since the wind was calm, they had the big flag flying on the flagpole. I couldn't believe how huge it was!
Where's the lock to this jail cell? Let's lock it and go!!!
Eliza wasn't happy for whatever reason. Maybe she was pinched, or someone smiled at her wrong, or maybe she was tired, or thirsty. Maybe the wind blew too hard, or not enough. Maybe she didn't like her dress, or the building we were in. It takes very little to set this girl off, so who knows!
The weather was threatening rain, so the flag had to be replaced with a smaller one. All the tourists were encouraged to help take the flag down. Good thing, since it was so large.
The helpers may not have been large, but they did the best they could.
For lunch we went to a park down the street from the Fort. Beau was lucky his Dad was in town to give him a push on the toys.
I don't think this toy was built for this purpose, but it works. The kids loved how fast and high they would be bounced, and Beau enjoyed being propelled off it. It was a win-win situation.
