Our dear friends from Marlyand, the Kecks, were retiring from the Army and were making a cross country trip to Utah to live amongst their children. Luckily our house was on their way, so they stayed a night with us. This visit had been on our calendar for weeks, and everyone was looking forward to it.
The day they arrived at our house just happened to be their 32nd wedding anniversary! The kids and I put together this banner to celebrate the occasion. Wow. 32 years. That is wonderful!
The kids made the most of their time with the Kecks. Abi brought out her glass chess set to challenge Gary to a game. Everett wowed them with his knowledge of science and Harry Potter. Zachary showed off his mad Uno skills. Eliza and Sariah made sure that some books were read to them. Beau and I even had our turn with them by staying up and chatting with them after the kids went to bed.
Gary and Melissa spent several days in Mexico, and were so kind and thoughtful to think of our kids while they were there! They brought them these adorable little turtles with a bobble head. So sweet!
We of course had to get one last picture with the Kecks. Who knows when we'll see them again! Hopefully soon!
