Summer fun

These girls love to get comfortable with their blankets.

My sister Allison came to stay the summer with us and find a job. My dad sent her with a few gifts for the kids. Everett loves his art kit with new marker, crayons, and colored pencils.
Abi showing off her new watch.
Zach got the coolest 3D chalk. I didn't believe it, but with those awesome glasses on, the chalk really does look 3D!

Eliza got this great coloring set that makes noise. She thought it was the greatest thing ever!

Sariah loves music, so of course a new toy that plays music would be a hit with her!!

Alli wanted to plant a pizza garden with the kids. It was a great idea, but the kids weren't too excited about having vegetables on their pizza, so the idea sort of fizzled out.

We were continuing school during the summer, and incorporated studies of the continents and major countries. I tried to make a dessert each week from a different country. This was called Pavlova, from New Zealand. It had an egg white meringue base, with fruit and whipped cream and chocolate chips. It was a hit!
