Let's go fly a kite!
The kids had been really good for quite a while. Beau wanted to treat them, so he bought some fun toys for the kids. Eliza got a brown fuzzy bear that we named Daddy Bear, since Daddy gave it to her. Zachary got a Mr. Potato Head. Abi and Everett recieved kites. They were so excited!
Beau put them together one breezy, chilly afternoon and showed Abi and Everett how it's done. It was Abi's job to toss it up into the air.
The wind was perfect for keeping a kite up in the sky.
Just to be sure, Everett was using the Force to keep it up. Just in case. I guess Zachary figured he could use a stick to whack it back up if the Force didn't work.
Abi named it High Flyer. How appropriate. Since it was a cloudy day it was hard to see the string, but it wasn't hard to see that it was a bird. Beau said a man from down the street came to see what was going on. He thought that a local bird was acting crazy. He wanted to make sure it was a kite, before he got out his gun. Good call, neighbor man. Could you imagine how scary that would have been if someone started shooting down the kite?

What a fun thing to do. My kids would love that, but I think it may be too windy where we live, and the kite would probably get destroyed.
