Happy Birthday Eliza!

Eliza is now 2 years old! It's amazing how quickly those two years have flown by. We began her birthday by attending a performance of the Nutcracker for children put on by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Baltimore Ballet School. Eliza was mezmorized by the both the music and dance. I have been wanting to make this princess cake for several years now. Abi never wanted it, and since Eliza couldn't tell me exactly what she wanted, I took matters into my own hands! It was so much fun to make!
After a dinner of spaghetti, corn on the cob, homemade french bread, and lemonade, it was time to dig in! Eliza really liked it, and it tasted delicious! I also picked one of my favorite flavors of cake...strawberry. :)

What is a birthday party without presents and grandparents? We have adopted a couple in our ward as our surrogate grandparents. They were kind enough to join us for dinner, cake, and presents. We miss having our own grandparents close by, but our friends the Kecks help to fill the void. We love them!
This is our first family picture since Sariah was born 3 months ago. Better late than never, right?
The kids got all dressed up in their Christmas attire. I actually MADE these ties! It was pretty fun. What was NOT fun, was putting together the dresses for the girls. Ties are MUCH easier!
Eliza and Clara were missing their friend Ellie, who is their same age. Her Mom just had a baby, so she wasn't up to attending the Nutcracker.
Abi and Eva are very close, and chose to have matching dresses. They are so cute together!
All the kids together for the show!
